B1S4 - Listening 2

Angie: Hi, Aaron! Are you ready to get on the plane?

Aaron: Hello! Absolutely, I can’t wait to arrive to Canada. People say it is one of the most beautiful countries in North America.

Angie: I am sure it is. It has a lot of National Parks that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You are going to love them.

Aaron: Really? Are there any in Alberta? This is the most exciting summer vacation ever.

Angie: Yes. We can visit Banff, the oldest National Park in Canada. I’m sure its scenery is prettier than other parks. It is in the Canadian Rockies.

Aaron: Rockies? Are they part of the Rocky Mountains in North America?

Angie: Exactly, the Rocky Mountains are in western North America and stretch more than 4,800 km from the northernmost part of British Columbia in Canada through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and down to New Mexico in the United States.

Aaron: Wow! Now I’m sure I will love this trip. National Parks usually have the most important animal species of the country.

Angie: Don’t forget your camera because there are a lot of grizzly bears, elks, moose, bighorn sheep, among other amazing animals.

Aaron: Okay, now I am happier than ever. And, where is the hotel?

Angie: It is a small but nice hotel that is near the parks. It has a precious view of the snow-capped parks and lakes of the Rockies.

Aaron: Excellent, then let’s go on the plane before we lose it.

Angie: Okay, let’s check-in first and then we’ll be ready for Alberta, Canada.

Aaron: Sure!
