B5S4 - Listening 1

Paul: Hello, Rosie! How have you been?

Rosie: Hi, Paul! Excellent, and you?

Paul: Me too. Did you see the new Marvel movie? The one with Captain America and the Avengers?

Rosie: Yes! It was awesome seeing so many superheroes in one movie. Who is your favorite superhero?

Paul: My favorite will always be Spider-Man. I think he's a very special character, but if they had included more details from the comic, the movie would have been even better.

Rosie: That’s true! What do you like about Spider- Man? I think he's very young to be among all the other superheroes.

Paul: Well, if he weren’t that young, perhaps people wouldn’t have doubts about him. I like him because he always struggles between being a teenager and being a responsible man who saves the world.

Rosie: I agree with you, but I also think that there are more interesting characters. For example, the Hulk.

Paul: The Hulk? What could be interesting about him?

Rosie: Well, Bruce Banner has a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics, and he's also an expert in Biochemistry. If he hadn’t been doing experiments, he wouldn’t have become the Hulk.

Paul: Yes, you’re right. But don’t forget that Captain America was created during World War II to remind the US citizens about their strength and patriotism.

Rosie: I think all superheroes and villains are important in every movie and exist for a reason. Don't you think?

Paul: Exactly! Let’s go to the internet and find more information about them.

Rosie: I love your idea; I'll bring my laptop.
